When Element 21 decided to enter the tackle industry, we knew that we wanted to offer something more than yet another fishing rod. We wanted to bring our expertise in new material design and fabrication, to reinvent and improve to standards currently accepted by the industry. And we are pleased to say that, to that end, we have been successful!
With the introduction of the Carrot Stix™ series, Element 21 developed proprietry carrot nano-Bio-fiber polymer technology. Of course, your first question might be: why carrot fibres? Why not just put more graphite in the blank? Well, the answer might surprise you...Putting more graphite in the blank would require the use of higher modulus graphite. There are three drawbacks to doing this: a) higher modulus graphite is more prone to breakage; b) it makes the rod much stiffer; and c) it is very expensive for the end consumer.
Carrot nano-Bio-fiber technology, on the other hand, has a very high strength-to-weight ratio, is extremely light in weight, is environmentally friendly, has an extremely high elongation (which means it can bend to a surprising degree), and offers all of these savings at a cost-savings to the end consumer.
What does all this mean? It means that our Carrot Stix™, nano-Bio-fibers enable us to strengthen the entire rod by creating a carrot-cellulose polymer within the rod’s matrix. This results in improved elongation and an increase flexural modulus.
The Bottom Line: Carrot nano-Bio-fiber technology provides a rod that is lighter, stronger, and more responsive, with enhanced sensitivity, even load from tip to butt, better load displacement, and better castability than any other rod in today’s marketplace.
It is for these reasons that Element 21 was awarded ICAST’s most coveted award of “OVERALL BEST OF SHOW” and two category wins with “BEST FRESHWATER ROD” and “BEST SALTWATER ROD”.

Element 21 Lifetime Warranty
Your new e21 rod comes with an original owner Lifetime Warranty against any defects in workmanship and materials. Should breakage occur due to a defect in either workmanship or materials, return the rod to the original point of purchase. Replacement will be at the discretion of e21. If e21 deems the damage to the rod to be a result of workmanship or materials, a replacement rod will be sent to the original point of purchase. If damage to the rod is determined to be outside the limits of this warranty, you will be advised as the replacement charges. The Lifetime Warranty will be void if the rod has been altered in any way from it’s original configuration including repair or damage resulting from misuse, abuse or use of the rod for purposes other that those for which it was intended.
